The complete engine would cost over 3.5 - 4 lac rupees. This is for a car that costs 5 lacs for trendline model. The half engine of swift diesel (yes the multijet) costs 1.8 lac rupees from Maruti Suzuki. The complete engine will cost over 3 lac rupees and this is when the last gen swift Ldi costed 5 lac ex showroom.
I have taken ownership of a 2014 Skoda Fabia Mkii Monte Carlo 1.2tsi 110 petrol engine. Please can anyone confirm the correct oil grade for the vehicle. I have come up with conflicting advice and would like some advice. The owners manual doesn't list my engine oddly. Oil website list 0w30 fully synthetic, another lists 5w30 fully synthetic.

Hi Folk, I was in my local motor factor today and they're selling a German made oil "Mannol" that comes in various specs one of which meets VAG 505.01 and another VAG 507 both are £25 for a 5 litre container (4+1 free) the guy in the shop says it's good stuff
Skoda Fabia 1.2 tsi 105bhp - oil quantity - YG2007. We typically have more than 10 grades of oil available in the garage at any one time including at least 4 different specifications of 5W30. (If an odd ball vehicle comes in for service and we dont have the recommended spec of oil we will get it in for that vehicle).
Also as the car has been sorned for 3 years and only started for 20 mins every 3 weeks, should I use an oil flush product prior to fitting the new cylinder head as it looks quite black or is it better to change the oil and filter, fit the head, then once back on the road do a couple of hundred miles then flush and replace the oil and filter.
