These are good for household plumbing and a few other low-stress applications, but not a lot of other projects that might arise on a boat. Rescue Tape costs slightly more BUT it’s good to 950 PSI, will insulate up to 8000 volts of electricity, is heat resistant to 500° F. and will remain flexible to -85° F.
For copper pinholes, a fix that is permanent, is to depressurize, drain and dry the line. Drill out the hole to about an 1/8" and ensure there is adequate wall thickness for repair. Take a brass screw, I use pan head, but any type will do as long as it is brass. Flux the hole and screw, insert and screw until tight.

2 – Apply some Plumbers Tape to the threads of the drain. 3 – Use enough Plumbers tape to cover the threads near the area where the nut will be positioned when fully tightened. 4 – Spin the nut all the way down or off of the threads. 5 – Insert the drain back into the sink hole and be sure it is centered.
Just to reiterate there are no epoxies or sealants or goo or repair bands to fix a gas leak. There are no alternatives. You need to locate the leak, then take it apart and fix the affected part. There is no JB weld, epoxy, tape, or anything else that will fix a gas leak properly. No ifs, ands, or buts.
Step-3: Take the adhesive that you have prepared from the putty and apply it to the leak. Be sure to apply the around the whole leaked portion of the pipe. Step-4: Turn on the water supply again and check. Step-5: Finish the work by wrapping the pipe repair bandage around the fix.
